        Divisions within the blue collar class
        Hi-tech vs. bull labor
        The rise of the blue collar worker
        The dilemma of the blue collar worker in today's economy
        The future of blue collar workers as the country changes

Session 2: Understanding the Blue collar worker worldview (30 minutes)
        The influence of the union movement
        Money, country, home and religion
        Job in-security
        "I ain't much for books."
        "I love this bar." ("I worked for the man and played his game...now I'm on my time.")
        Quid pro quo vs. reciprocation ("What's in it for me." vs. "I know a guy that
                can fix that.")
        Relationships

Session 3: Ministry to the blue collar worker (45 minutes)
        Relationship and acceptance: care and compassion
        Bluffing and honesty
        Passing the test: you have to be authentic
        Collars off…hard hats on
        It's a rough world...gotta roll with the punches
        Reciprocation in relationship building
        "You may think this job is the pits, but to God…"
        Introducing God
        You are Jesus
        What are they looking for in Jesus?
        Forget Theology 401. (They don't care if it was a local or universal flood.)
                A. Know: God loves you but you're a sinner and there's a price to pay
                B. Accept (agree with): Jesus Christ paid it for you
                C. Trust: You are saved by faith
        No stupid (i.e. unbiblical promises) (they know all the religious scams and the
                revival-time conversions)

Session 4: Bringing the blue collar worker into Christian service and spiritual maturity (45 minutes)
        The long road to faith, freedom of habits and spiritual maturity
        How blue collar workers learn things
        Reciprocal ministry
        Blue and white collar workers on the same board
        Bible studies based on service and application
        "Preach it, brother." (Preach what?)
        Build the basics so they minister to people they know
                A. What is sin and salvation?
                B. Overcoming the old life
                C. Christian living: home, community and job
                D. The Christian employee and view of work
                E. Credible lifestyle and appropriate witness
        How blue collar Christians get 'converted' when they go to seminary
        Right place and right time…the muscle of industry and the muscle of the church
