All you'll ever need to know
about God
For thousands of years mystics and madmen, philosophers and peasants have tried to understand and know God.
They have fasted, mutilated themselves, secluded themselves, studied and gone on pilgrimages…all to understand and know God.
But I, just a common guy, understand and know God. No living in a cave, no inflicting pain, no wee hours of the morning in a seminary library.
Why...because God has almost completely revealed himself in one simple verse.
In Jeremiah 9:24 it is written:
"Let him who boasts boast about this:
that he understands and knows me,
that I am the LORD, who exercises
kindness,
justice and
righteousness
on earth,
for in these I delight," declares the LORD.
God is kind, He is just and He is righteous…and all this is demonstrated and carried out in His Son Jesus, the Christ.
I just can't get enough of this verse, and you won't either, as we explore the richness of His kindness, justice and righteousness, and how it deepens our Christian experience.
